    Dendreon, Capital One lead the way as Weekly Market Sentiment Moves above 30 Day Moving Average

    Piqqem released its weekly sentiment for the week ending April 23, 2010 and it shows overall market sentiment moving above the 30 day moving average. The move was lead by the Nasdaq (.IXIC) and the Russell 2000 which showed sentiment gains, while both the S&P 500 (.INX) and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) showed declines. Overall market sentiment is at 8.60 up over 1.5 pts in the last week.

    The 12% drop saw a decrease of $9B in market cap. Surely the affect of the SEC case is not going to impact the bottom line by that much. Derivatives regulations will affect commercial banks and largely benefit investment banks such as Goldman. GS should grow significantly over the next few years as a beneficiary of bank regulation.

    I think they go even higher. I was worried they were not marking down CRE to tru market. Seems they are.

    Goldman's $5B secondary is bullish, at least in the short term. They wouldn't sell to investors unless they were confident.

    I am not sure exactly how these guys are going to make money going forward. Investment banking is dead. Proprietary trading is difficult due to the inability to use leverage. They don't want to be a retail bank.

    Goldman is your best shot at a double or triple over the next 18 months in the financial services sector.

    I'd say $110 by the end of '09.

    Buffett invested in GS and got a good deal with the preferred stock. Will he invest in a bad Co just because he is getting a bad good deal? I think not.
