Oracle will acquire Sun for $9.50/share. Not a bad outcome for recent shareholders but this story is now at an end.

Their server technology is now a commodity. They are trying to be consultants. They don't really have a strong market position. Hard to like them here.

Sun has a great, stable product, but it lacks something... Price? Availability? market Saturation? You can't stay in the server OS business without trying to ramp up your workstation OS presence.

Not a lot to like here. Company has become somewhat of a dinosaur as has its technology (e.g., Java). They need to reinvent themselves and/or find a new niche, but its not clear current leadership can do that.
