Why do I Need a Piqqem Widget?

Widgets are a great way to add useful, sticky applications to a Web page without adding significant burdens to your already overstretched tech staff. Everyone tracks stocks. Piqqem's widgets let your users predict stocks and see what everyone else in your "crowd" thinks, as well. Piqqem widgets can be customized to target your specific users and engage them in the tribal behaviors of voting and voyeurism to drive engagement on your pages. Sentiment collected from your users can be converted into interesting and unique editorial content to be displayed on your site or written up as articles.

What Will a Piqqem Widget Cost?

Nothing. We don't charge. We give you a nice tool to use on your site and interesting data. Your users add sentiment and votes to our growing Piqqem Sentiment Tracking Engine, making our global sentiment more accurate and broad-based. It's a win-win.

Will Users Need to Register?

No. Users can vote without registering.

Will Users Need to Go to a Separate Page to Vote?

No. All voting takes place directly on the pages that you designate. Users will not be forced to go to another page. No pop-up pages, new tabs, or splash-pages will be employed.

Can I Place / Sell Advertising in the Widget?

Yes. In fact, we encourage you to monetize your traffic by using our widget as a sponsorship vehicle. We can even help you do this through one of our partner companies which specializes in placing financial institution ads on widgets.

How do you Track the Votes?

Piqqem will place a cookie in the browser of each individual user. This cookie will be identified as corresponding to the specific partner domain / URL. The cookie will be used to track individual user votes through Piqqem Sentiment Tracking Engine and display the results of those votes on the partner widget. Partners will have access to user analytics including: number of votes, type of votes and number of votes per ticker. User votes from partner widgets will also be aggregated as part of Piqqem's Global Sentiment Pool and counted in our global Sentiment Tracking Engine. Piqqem will not segregate out or display your user data anywhere outside of your own site. All users are anonymized and encrypted in the Piqqem database.

How Do I Get Started?

Getting started is as easy as going to the Piqqem widget page and signing up for an API key to receive your unique code to copy and paste anywhere on the web.

Are There Advanced Options?

Of course! You can set many of the widget options directly via the widget URL. You can find detailed instructions for these options on the widget help page.
